The Recovery & Wellbeing College is proudly led by the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We work hand-in-hand with, volunteers and partner organisations to co-produce a wide range of free workshops and courses that support mental health, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Who is the College for?
Our courses are open to any adult who wants to improve their own wellbeing or support someone else—whether that’s a friend, family member, or someone they care for. We focus on learning and empowerment, helping people build skills, knowledge, and confidence. While we don’t offer therapy or clinical treatment, our sessions are designed to complement other forms of support.
What Makes Us Unique?
All our courses are co-designed and co-delivered by people with lived experience of mental health challenges alongside professionals and subject experts. This partnership ensures our sessions are grounded in real-world understanding and practical insight.
Our Values
We are guided by the principles of hope, control, and personal responsibility. We believe that everyone has the potential to live a meaningful life, regardless of any mental or physical health challenges they may face.
What Does “Recovery” Mean to Us?
Recovery is a deeply personal journey. It doesn’t always mean a cure or the absence of illness. Instead, it’s about reclaiming a life with purpose, connection, and opportunity—whether that’s rebuilding confidence, finding new meaning, or returning to education or work.
Our courses reflect this broader understanding of recovery, supporting people to rediscover what matters most to them.
