Serena Rogers, a graduate mixed media artist from Yorkshire. Within her work she explores the intersection of diverse materials and techniques to create dynamic, layered narratives through sculpture, painting, illustration, photography, textile, and collage.

Her work often addresses themes of inequality, loss, and our relationship with the environment, drawing inspiration from the forgotten, the weathered, and the discarded. This approach has been recognized with awards in 2024, including the Visual Art Open Public Choice award in London.

Beyond her studio, Serena believes in the transformative power of art within communities. As a creative facilitator and project coordinator, she has collaborated with organisations such as Everybody Arts, Hebden Bridge Arts, Project Colt, Pennine Magpie, and Halifax Women’s Centre.

Serena’s art workshops are built on the simple belief that everyone is creative. Her approach is to have judgment-free spaces where exploration is encouraged, and mistakes are celebrated. Witnessing community projects, she has facilitated showcased in public exhibitions is a powerful reminder of art’s ability to connect and empower.

Ultimately, Serena aims to create spaces where individuals feel inspired to discover their unique creative voice, at their own pace, and experience the pure joy of making.
